The koala - what an experience! I hear they smell not so great. I'm sure you experienced the same especially when he pooped on you LOL but a great story and glad it was worth it!
The males smell especially awful (musky doesn't even begin to describe it), because they have these glands on their chests to attract females (and each one smells different ... apparently the zookeepers can identify each animal by its unique smell!). Let's just say I think one encounter is enough for me in this lifetime ;)
