The dog days of summer are HERE … I’m sure you’re feeling it, even if you don’t live on the surface of the sun, like I do in Phoenix. Have you heard about our insane heat wave (like, insane even by desert standards)? We’ve had more than TWENTY-SIX consecutive days over 110 degrees, and there’s no relief in sight.
I’ve noticed an interesting phenomenon this summer, and it’s something I haven’t noticed in years past. We’re all used to “Summer Fridays,” right? At first, they used to mean people took the afternoons off to start their weekends early. Then people started taking the whole day off, giving themselves a summer series of 3-day weekends.
Then I started noticing that Mondays were extremely quiet and maybe 4-day weekends were the new norm (must be nice!).
