Sourcing for a CBD expert and period panties (These headlines just write themselves, folks!)
Week of 12/6/21
Happy Thursday, everyone (where did this week go??)!
We’re all settled into our hotel life now, and making the most of it. Is it weird? Yes. Is it as awful as I thought it might be? No. We’re learning to embrace minimalism (from the kitchenette to clothing options, thanks to a lack of storage) and enjoy some of the perks of our new neighborhood (a really nice dine-in cinema literally across the parking lot, a nearby dog park, and some new restaurant options).
When I’m not sharing tales of my crazy life in this intro space, I try to include some additional value for you beyond my editorial opportunities … so here’s a tip I recently shared in the PR Czars Facebook group, but wanted to include again here in case you missed it:
If your client's product is sold on Amazon, download FakeSpot for FREE and check out their score (it analyzes and identifies fake product reviews). More and more outlets (such as TMB pubs) are requiring a score of B or better for inclusion, so you should know where the product stands ... this score could be holding your clients' coverage opportunities back. Also, it's a smart thing to consult for any of your own consumer purchases so you don’t get duped into buying something with fake reviews, too!
Here’s some more background on FakeSpot. While I don’t have a solution for how to fix a bad grade (I would imagine it'll need to be improved organically, through new reviews that are from verified buyers on Amazon? Maybe there are Amazon/reputation consultants who can help — if you know of one, please connect me so I can make that resource available to everyone), I’m happy to answer pub-related questions.
I’m looking forward to a quick trip up to Sedona this-coming Sunday (stay tuned on Instagram for my stories/posts on a newly remodeled resort) and beyond that, I’m just cranking out copy!
Hope you’re having a great week,
Jill
