Greetings! Welcome to my very first Substack experience!

Here’s a recent pic, taken in Sedona, in case you’d like to put a face to the name:

You know when people tell you to try a new thing, like Substack, but you keep putting it off (for months) because you have no idea how to use it and you’re old and don’t like change? Well that’s me!

But here I am, being brave and apparently trendy! I’m finally trying to figure this tool out, because I’m hearing that PR people actually LOVE these email blasts AND I’m hopeful it’ll save me some time in the long run :)

I’ll keep this inaugural message short while I learn the ropes (warning: future posts may also include random musings, pics of my toy schnauzer, and encouragement to follow my travels on Instagram!).

3. Need to interview a sleep doctor about his/her favorite sleep-related gift (no product pitches please, and the doctor cannot be affiliated with the product/brand being recommended)

4. Need to interview a podiatrist about his/her favorite walking shoes (again, no product pitches and the doctor can’t be affiliated with the product/brand being recommended)

HealthCentral

Due by 10/27; this is my first assignment for this pub!

1. A pediatrician and/or members of hospital child life departments/ and or child psychologist for an in-depth piece about how parents can help their children understand what it means to have a chronic condition and live their lives under that umbrella. Heavy, I know. Just send over the source’s credentials/bio, but please don’t send commentary until I respond with my interview questions.
