Have You Heard of Interview Hub? It Makes Pitching/Booking Entertainment Interviews Easy!
Plus: current assignments + sign up for this week's AMA session
Happy Monday, everyone.
I was just turned onto a new resource I wanted to share with you: Interview Hub. This FREE once-a-week newsletter shares interview opportunities from the film and TV industry and connects interested outlets on the back end to book interviews. Talk about making it easy to pitch and book interviews! Get your EARLY ACCESS NOW by subscribing today.
How does it work?
Step 1: Entertainment publicists fill out a form with their clients’ open interview opportunities. Think: press junkets, red carpets, screenings, podcast opportunities, and more.
Step 2: When journalists receive the newsletter (every Monday morning), they’ll fill out a form and select which interviews they want to cover.
Step 3: Interview Hub gives the entertainment publicists the media outlet’s contact info and they'll get in touch to set up the interviews!
Reminder: RSVP for my March 19th Ask Me Anything Session
Date: Tuesday, March 19th (TOMORROW!)
Time: 1 pm PST/4 pm EST
This session is an open forum … there’s no theme. That means you can ask ANY questions you’d like … no topic is off the table. We can discuss pitching, gift guides, sources/experts, best practices, the state of the industry, writer pet peeves, and more!
Ever Wish You Had a Journalist On Demand to Answer Your Media Questions, Perfect Your Pitches, and Brainstorm Pitch Angles?
For the last few months, I’ve been offering a new service to a select few publicists. In this ongoing engagement (read: not a one-time consulting session!), I can help:
Workshop your pitches to help increase open rates and coverage hits
Brainstorm pitch angles to give you some fresh ideas
Provide outlet suggestions for pitches you’re having trouble placing
Share tips/advice when you’re stuck and need some client wins
Offer a behind-the-scenes look at the media industry, with updates and insights
Troubleshoot client-specific issues that are keeping you from landing more coverage
Explain best practices to boost your success rate
Build killer follow-up strategies
And more!
Think of it as having a media concierge on retainer whenever you need some help!
What qualifies me? I’ve been a journalist for 24 years, both on staff at magazines and for the last 7 years as a full-time freelancer (not to mention a contract editor at various outlets) … I’m thrilled to put all this knowledge to use in a different way and help even more publicists bridge the gap between our two professions.
