3 financial topics (yep, I write about personal finance, too!) + I made a TikTok video!
Week of 11/8/2021
Happy Monday, everyone!
Remember how I tried to explain the difference between Skimlinks and Share A Sale in last week’s newsletter? Well, I still didn’t know enough of the nuances to properly explain it. #FAIL
Thankfully, I received a very helpful response from a subscriber who provided the clarity I think we all desperately need … so I’m sharing it below (with permission):
“ShareASale is typically the best route for brands to go when seeking an affiliate program (at least for now) and from there they just need to link it up to Skimlinks. Skimlinks is offered for free and has a set list of preferred affiliate programs that merchants can sign up with to then use to join Skimlinks. Therefore, if someone is set up on ShareASale, then they would just need to link up their account to Skimlinks for free.” — Jami Creel
Hopefully that clears it up!
I’m definitely starting to feel the stress of needing to get a LOT of assignments done between now and Thanksgiving (and I have a 4-day trip to Sedona before then, too!), so let’s cut right to the good stuff (see below).
Have a great week,
Jill

OMG, I Finally Made a TikTok Video!
I’ve been talking about making TikTok content about my travels for roughly 6 months now, and this weekend I bit the bullet and created my first real video! It features my recent stay at the gorgeous Castle Hot Springs resort, and I hope you’ll check it out and like/comment on it!
Real talk: I had no idea this would take me 2+ hours or how hard it would be to match my voiceover script to my video clips … it’s not as perfect as I’d like it to be, but I figured you have to start somewhere, right?!
I’d truly appreciate any support you can give me on this new venture!
